Couples Counseling at Eagle Rock Therapy
Eagle Rock Therapy offers couples counseling informed by Intimacy from the Inside Out© (IFIO) to help you strengthen communication, resolve conflicts, and build deeper connections.
Our Approach
By the time a person reaches 20 years old, there’s more relational experiences behind emotional triggers that can affect the stability and safety within what is typically a loving, caring connection.
Similar to the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model created by Richard Schwartz, couples counseling at Eagle Rock Therapy begins with the notion that everyone’s center is inherently good, and filled with love and self-compassion, no matter what they’ve experienced over their lifetime.
How IFIO Works
Intimacy from the Inside Out© (IFIO) is a couples therapy approach based on IFS. This hands-on method promotes growth and healing for both parties in an intimate relationship.
With the care and support of our therapists at Eagle Rock Therapy, both partners develop a compassionate and secure relationship with themselves. This helps them stay connected with themselves and each other, even during times of stress and conflict. With practice, individuals can learn better, more healthy ways to communicate and relate to their partners.
Building Stronger Bonds
Exploring each partner’s inner life helps couples communicate better, repair conflicts, balance individual needs with relationship needs, and build authentic connections. This process builds empathy and understanding, helping couples handle challenges with more compassion.
This specialized counseling can strengthen the bond between you and your partner by revealing the good, loving person at your core. This allows for greater space between your true self and the reactive parts influenced by past experiences. This helps couples connect more genuinely, creating a more harmonious and fulfilling relationship.
